Art Classes at Soaring Peacock Studio

Students, ages 6+ explore various techniques using artist-quality acrylics and mediums. Focus is on fun and developing confidence as students paint subject matter that interests them. All supplies provided.

Beaver Community Adult Learning Program

Beaver County Community Adult Learning Program provides adult learning support through one-on-one tutoring and small classes. Areas of learning include basic math, reading, writing, digital skills (technology) and English Language Learning for new Canadians. Visit us to learn about resume and career transition help and GED preparation programs. Programs are held at various times to suit the needs of learners & tutors. Small classes — no fees for tutoring.

Offering Canada Safety Council Babysitter Safety Certification and Home Alone Courses. Courses are designed to develop critical thinking skills and build confidence. Both in-person and online options are available. Serving Beaver County, Sherwood Park and East Edmonton.

Junior Forest Wardens (Tofield Snow Geese JFW)

The Tofield Snow Geese is a local Junior Forest Warden (JFW) club in Tofield. We currently meet once a month, typically at Islet Lake in the Blackfoot Recreation Area or the Tofield Nature Centre. There are additional weekend events or out trips put on by our club and/or the JFW organization where attendance is encouraged but is not mandatory. We are a parent involved organization, meaning that parents must participate in activities and join their warden at every event. Each attending parent will be required to complete a criminal record check. Our club has programming for boys and girls over 6 years old, but younger siblings are welcome at most events. We ask parents to be as involved as possible in programming, leadership and fundraising. 

Program will begin in September. Monthly meetings (approximately two hours in length) with dates to be confirmed. Registration is $75 per child.

The Primary Care network is in the Tofield Medical Clinic. Our goal is to provide education and support for people with chronic conditions We have many programs including exercise groups, happiness basics programs and programs to help reduce financial strain. We also provide monthly women’s wellness clinics. We work as a team with your family physician and a nurse located right in Tofield.

56 Royal Canadian Nootka Sea Cadets

Youth program open to all youth aged 12-18 years old. 

Sea Cadets focus on Sea Element Skills, citizenship and physical fitness. Our goal is to familiarize cadets with the Sea Element of the Canadian Armed Forces. We want to support citizenship and life skills to help our cadets learn to serve others. We give opportunities to learn marksmanship, biathlon, sailing, band, sports and drill.  

Thursdays: 6:15PM–9:30PM at Holden Hall.    

No registration fee, no membership fees — fundraising is expected. 

Uniforms are free and cadets paid to go to summer camp.

The Write Group

We are a group of local writers that meet monthly and share a common love: the act and artifact of original writing. The Write Group offers fellowship, community, opinions, critiques, exercises, prompts, information on writing techniques, markets and contests and a fun evening of our own stories, poems and articles. We currently have 39 members, all writers, novelists, bloggers, poets, journalists, short story writers, playwrights, wordsmiths and storytellers, and we would love to include you. 

Pre-teens to centenarians are welcome! If you love writing, you’re welcome to join us. Please note that we do not teach writing.

Tofield Childrens Rehab Services — AHS

Children’s rehab (speech language therapy, occupational therapy & physiotherapy) provides rehabilitation services to children, youth and families. Together, they identify goals and activities to help them develop skills or recover from a range of health conditions. 

Paediatric rehabilitation services focus on addressing health and developmental needs of children from birth to 5 years old, and health-focused services for children and youth ages 6-18 years old. Walk-in clinics are the first Wednesday of each month from 9AM–12PM. No fees!

The WECAN Food Basket Society operates as a “warehouse without walls”. We buy all our food in bulk and distribute it to our community-based depots. Members prepay for their food baskets by the first Friday of each month, then orders can be picked up on the third or fourth Thursday of the month.
