Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village – Celebration of Spring

Welcome to the start of a new season ant the Ukrainian Village with the celebration of spring.  Take in one of Albert’s largest Ukrainian Dance extravaganzas featuring numerous dance groups of all ages across Alberta.  Meanwhile, in the historical village, families can visit with costume role players and celebrate spring on the farm with a full day of authentic activities.

Visitors are encourage to bring a lawn chair for seating.

Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village – Vintage Day and the Friends Ukrainian Music Fest

Step on the gas, drive back in time and enjoy a spectacular display of vintage vehicles at the Ukrainian Village.  New this year, Vintage Day will also feature Friends Ukrainian Music Fest ! Experience a live concert blending traditional and contemporary Ukrainian-Canadian music at the 33rd annual Music Fest presented by the Friends of the Ukrainian Village.

Bring a lawn chair and spend the afternoon with Steven Chwok of CFCW’s Zabava Program and Alberta’s most popular bands and musicians.

This family fun day includes the Kalyna Voice singing competition, children’s activities, free horse drawn wagon rides, exhibits, entertainers, historical avctivities, traditional Ukrainian food and the village market.

Ukrainian Day @ The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village

Witness history come alive as Alberta’s Ukrainian community celebrates its pioneer roots as well as all things Ukrainian in the province today. An afternoon concert featuring the best in Ukrainian dance and music takes place at this annual event co- hosted with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council.  Other family fun includes a visit to the historical village, children activities, village market and Ukrainian Village Food Festival .
